Work Experience

Alexandra teaches Russian at the University of Bamberg in Germany since 2016. She offers Russian language praxis courses as well as courses on Russian Studies in Russian and German. Her focus is on intercultural language learning, which includes reflecting on specific patterns of speech and behavior and developing intercultural competence.

Beside teaching Russian Alexandra has also worked in various language-related spheres – as a proof-reader, translator, interpreter, journalist, English and German teacher. Due to this valuable practical experience both in Russia and in Germany she pays attention to linguistic and stylistic subtleties of the Russian language. Alexandra uses many current materials from authentic sources and chooses topics based on learner interest. She follows individual approach and ensures an effective and multifarious program with varied forms of learning.
